New Mexico Green Chile Burgers Recipe
Ingredients:
1 tsp of mild chili (grounded)
4 buns of hamburger
1 1/2 lbs of beef (ground)
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 c of jack cheese (shredded)
1 crushed clove of garlic
4 lettuce leaves (red or Romaine)
1 tomato (medium size); sliced
4 roasted chilies green; chopped
freshly cracked black pepper
4 onion slices (red)
Small bowl of salsa
Instructions:
Combine pepper, salt, grounded chili and garlic, inside a bowl and mix. Divide to make four burger patties. Preset the charcoal grill or broiler on high.
Charcoal grill burgers until desired tenderness is reached. Grate cheese and put on buns. Buns can be toasted until charred nicely brown and cheese has melted.
Place patty on buns, along with the chilies, sliced tomato, lettuce and slices of onions. Add freshly made salsa. Good for four people.
