Jim Beam Ham Recipe
Ingredients:
12 lbs of bone-in ham (pre-cooked)*
Pepper, salt, and paprika for seasoning
For the Injecting or Basting Sauce:
12 oz of beer
1 c of apple cider (Heinz)
2 pcs of apples (medium); sliced in 4
3 pcs of oranges (medium); sliced in 4
2 long stalks of celery; coarsely chopped
3 tsps of garlic; minced
1 c of sugar (brown)
1 c of bourbon (Jim Beam)
Instructions:
Season ham with pepper, paprika, and salt. Combine bourbon, beer, apple cider, fruits, celery, sugar, and garlic to make the sauce; divide sauce into two.
Inject onto the ham the first half and the other for basting. Place the ham in a rotisserie at medium.
Allow to cook for a long period then baste the ham from time to time (every 20 mins) until heated thoroughly (2 hours) and temperature reaches 170 degrees F.
*If ham is uncooked, turn rotisserie to a high setting then adjust the time for cooking.
