How To Prepare Healthy Lemony Grilled Chicken Breasts

This calls for another great grilling session. Chicken definitely is popular and a regular favorite across all countries in the world. Simply because it’s nutritious, healthy and very affordable. It also embodies versatility. It may be prepared in various ways in different techniques and methods in cooking like stir frying, broiling, grilling and baking.

There are approximately more than a thousand unique recipes just waiting to be discovered. Enjoy creating a hearty chicken dish perhaps by using an entire chicken, some chicken breasts, thighs, and wings.

Chicken is really very versatile and does well in a variety of cooking methods. You just need to know the right way to prepare them and cook them up and for sure you’ll get really juicy and delectable chicken dishes every time.

This recipe here shows you a really healthy and very nice recipe that elaborates the chicken’s protein as well as fat quality which is why you should definitely give this recipe a try on your next grilling session.

Ingredients:

2 to 3 tbsps lemon juices
1 tbsp cane vinegar
2 tbsps dill (fresh), chopped
2 tbsps basil (fresh) chopped
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp mustard (Dijon)
1/4 tbsps black pepper
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive-oil
6 skinless chicken-breast fillets cut in halves
1 piece of lemon sliced thinly
1/3 cup of olives (pitted-kalamata)

Preparation:

1. In creating your dressing, simply whisk lemon juices, vinegar, salt, pepper, mustard, honey, basil and dill all together. Then slowly and gradually add oil then whisk them.

2. After which put chicken inside one large bag that’s resalable. Then add half a cup of your mixed dressing and half of your sliced lemons. Then seal in the plastic zipped bag then place inside fridge for about two hours. Set the other half of your dressing aside.

3. Then grill your chickens in medium settings to high charcoal on each side for around five to six minutes.

4. Put your chicken breasts onto one platter then finally drizzle in your dressing that you set aside earlier.

This hearty chicken-recipe serves six and would only take around fifteen minutes to grill this dish. But I highly recommend to allow the marinade to be absorbed for over two hours.

You have to bear in mind, chickens especially the breast part don’t contain much fat because it’s a lean type of meat. Do remember this and be sure that when you’re cooking breast meat that you’d have lots of liquids or make sure that your chicken has absorbed much of your marinade because it might dry up during the cooking process.
