Grilled Whole Onions Recipe
Ingredients:
One whole onion (white or yellow and about 1 per person)
Parsley; minced
A medium sized bowl with water
Lemon with pepper
Worcestershire sauce
Dill; chopped
Chili sauce
Instructions:
Soak all onions in a bowl with cold water, making sure all onions stay under water. Leave for about thirty minutes. This will prevent onion from burning when grilled.
Drain all onions then grill over hot coals for 20-30 minutes until tender when pierced with fork. Make sure to turn onions evenly on all of its sides to evenly cook them.
Serve it with margarine or butter, Worcestershire sauce or hot chili sauce. To eat, pull back onion skin using knife. Onion slips out deliciously juicy. Discard charred skin.
