Cheese-Stuffed Brats Recipe
Ingredients:
5 pcs of knockwurst or bratwurst (fully cooked, 1 lb)
2 oz of cheese (Monterey Jack, with caraway seed)
1/4 c of green onions; sliced thinly
5 pcs of buns (frankfurter); sliced lengthwise
5 pcs of bacon
Optional:
Onion (chopped)
Pickle (relish)
Mustard
Catsup
Instructions:
Slit (lengthwise) each knockwurst or bratwurst. Slice cheese to five strips (2-1/2×1/2×1/4-inch). Insert onion and strip of cheese in knockwurst or bratwurst.
Wrap bacon slice around on each brats and fasten with toothpicks (wooden). Cook the brats on grilling rack with the cheese facing up.
Cover the hood for 5-10 mins or till cheese melts and bacon has turned crispy. Place the brats inside the buns. Place mustard, catsup, onion, and pickles.
